So ... tomarrow is the day we are holding my husbands big 30th birthday party. He hates it when I say it too. So we have spent the day cooking and cleaning so we have less to do tomarrow. Less after party clean up too, as long as we get all the dishes done from tonight done. I made tuna pasta salad, deviled eggs, potato salad, and lots of jello shots (around 200). I keep forgetting hot time consuming jello shots can be, since you can't put the liquor in the jello before it cools off other wise the liquor evaporates. I have few flavors too, lemon, sour green apple, grape, I wanted to do blueberry, wild berry, strawberry, and orange but I ran out of trays. It is going to be a drunk fest tomarrow. My husband is making his chili (2 whole crockpots, yikes) and hot wings. He wants to do egg salad and green bean cassarolle too. We are going to have hotdogs, hambergers and brots. If any one wants any thing else they bring thier own and of course BYOB too. It is going to be one hell of a party. I am so glad I have all of my stuff done so I will not be in the kitchen at all tomarrow. That is such a happy thought.
Gotta love the Army. Well my husband is not going to WLC this month, just great. I just love when they change things, as they always do. Just so I have to change my plans. Supposedly thou they will send my husband to BNCOC right after he is done with WLC. Well with a two week gap that would allow him to go to the board first. He has to have promotable status before going to BNCOC. This would be great if that really happens. But I doubt that this will really happen, this is just how well I know the Army and have seen so many people getting screwed over. I just love watching the higher ups talk out there a**. I guess we will see.
WLC is an acronym for Worrier Leaders Course wich was once called PLDC more acronims. If you ask me the Military if full of acromyns and you could ask some people what they stand for and they really don't know. My husband should have gotten the stuff issued to him but since he is in the only non deployable MP unit on post, we have to go buy his stuff. What a load of money we spent too, and we still don't have every thing he needs for the school. We are hoping that any thing he does not have we can borrow from others in his office. I don't know how much more we are going to spend but it seems like we are a long way off. I hope that he can get a few more things from his unit supply. There are still a few more patches that he has to buy from the clotheing store too. On the brighter side two more months till we take our next vacation. Yippie ... I think. If the gas prices don't kill us first. We only get 17 miles to the gallon with our trailblazier, so not the greatest for a cross country trip, but it will do better then our van. It's also not as roomie as the van so that is going to be hard on the kids. At every rest stop we will get out and make the kids run ... he he he ... run all that pinned up energy out of them it will make the trip run smother. Hopefully they sleep most of the trip.
